This work is about lifecycles. A fresh springtime flower from a trumpet tree was scanned and used as the starting point.

My first piece of art in 2024, after not drawing for the past 5 months due to physical and mental health issues, which forced me to take a break.

But now that I am better, I have created this piece titled "2024." The concept of this artwork comes from the character "Magician Girl" that I designed. It's the story of a young girl with the power to change anything and everything. I hope this character can change my fate as well.

I hope everyone likes it.

3D scanning work with cell phones and generative art. 

In this process I scan one of those articulated wooden mannequins used in art processes for reference poses. After the scan, the 3D object generated is reinterpreted through creative coding with the java language.

Brendan Dawes

In the early 2000s I bought a large box of random vintage toy robots off Ebay.  After some further research I began to disappear down the rabbit hole of collecting largely vintage Japanese robots from manufacturers such as Cragstan-Yonezawa, Horikawa, Masudaya and Yoshiya.

Eventually I thought it was time to fuse my love of these beautiful objects with my art practice, creating an imagined series of robots, generated, or "descended" from the robots I've collected over the years...
